Written by Kutter and "visually organised" by Karl Gerstner in 1957. Published by Arthur Niggli in Teufen.
Markus Kutter (1925–2005) and Karl Gerstner were cofounders of GGK (Gerstner, Gredinger & Kutter) – a famous Swiss advertising agency.
The large type used on the cover and throughout the book is likely handsetAkzidenz-Grotesk. Günter Gerhard Lange's AG Old Face is a 1980s attempt to revive the early versions of Akzidenz, and I believe it is the digital font family that is most similar to the type you see in this book.
