A book about "Germany's strongest year": In 1964, exactly 1,357,304 babies were born in this country — more than in any other year. Now this generation turns 50. The typeface that was picked for the cover is much older, though: Cooper Black was introduced in the early 1920s. I couldn't find a precise date for theHilitevariant, but it is included in the 1934 ATF specimen. The font in use here appears to be CooperDAT-Hilite by Alexey Chekulaev (Double Alex Font Studio, 1992–3), judging from the highlights and the pointy top of '6'. Those details are different in the other — better — digital version, from Wordshape.

I am not sure whether the book comes in various editions, or whether these varying cover designs include preliminary press images.
