TRAUM.WELT.REISE. ("world trip of a lifetime") is a book about a journey around the world in 365 days, with 52 stops and adventures. The design of the book contains a lot of photos which are arranged in a kind of collage, with just bits of textual information. With little hints and a subtle trace throughout the book, it is not just read in an usual way, but experienced by the reader.

We chose some very well known destinations on our route (e.g. the Great Barrier Reef) for having some beacons, mixed them with some strong adventures (e.g. barbecue in Argentina with lots of meat) — the location itself being less important. We added destinations with a historic (e.g. Moscow Subway), spiritual (e.g. Tibet), scary (e.g. sharkdiving in South Africa) or tradtional (e.g. a shack in the swiss alps) angle. It's more like watching a movie than reading a book, with enough space for own thoughts and feelings.

We had lots of fun designing the book — hope you enjoy the glimpse into the book. And yes, the proposed route is for real. It was a lot of work to find out how to travel without getting wet (monsun), entering unstable countries, or getting stuck in dead ends
