Next Wave Festival 2008

Based on the theme of the 2008 Next Wave Festival, titled Closer Together, which sometimes celebrates and sometimes questions globalised ideas of (not just) closeness, we sourced all of the text and images for the identity and promotional material using Google and Google Images. We also then got permission to use it all. Time consuming, we can assure you. The unexpected, poetic and comical results were combined with typographic and publication design defaults, norms and standards, not unlike Google in their ability to be useful, funny, ugly, and lovely.
