Letters pack together shoulder to shoulder, creating a dense typographic texture. There are even alternative OpenType® designs that ensure tight – but non-touching – spacing, maintaining high levels of legibility in even the most condensed and dramatic of weights. Based on a small family of hand-set metal type dating back to the 1930s, Placard Next is not an aloof or precise design. This is a typeface with personality! Dramatically tapered diagonal strokes, round tittles, heroic x-heights and minimalist crossbars, make for a design that is both warm and commanding. A large multi-lingual character set also guarantees that Placard Next’s voice can be heard in a variety of languages. |
